Sofia: Our store cat, resident security expert and night watchman. Sofia’s favorite spot to rest is on top of the Italian Wines. And she would like to give fair warning to any dog who comes into Bauer. It’s her turf and you are only a visitor so have some respect.
Howie: Bauer’s General Manager. Howie has been with Bauer since it was owned by Mr. Bauer and has seen the store move twice on Newbury Street. He’s the Yoda to my Luke Skywalker when it comes to wine knowledge. Ask him anything about wine….he will know the answer.
John: Wine Educator and all around nice guy. John has been with Bauer for more than 10 years and really knows his wines. He came to Bauer from a fine dining background so his knowledge of food and wine pairings is outstanding.
Dennis: Weekend Night Manager and coolest guy you’ll ever meet. You know those Dos Equis commercials? You know what I’m talking about…”the most interesting man in the world?” He doesn’t hold a candle to Dennis. Get to know Dennis and you will know the inspiration for the world’s most interesting man.
Corinne: Bauer’s Marketing Director. Corinne is chained to the computer in the office for most of the day, but she can be found out front in the evenings to ask about wine, beer and spirits. She is a big promoter of local brands! A bartender for 17 years, Corinne can discuss food and wine/beer pairings and cocktail recipes.
Tom: Bauer’s Beer Manager. Tom has been in the beer business for a long time and loves to talk craft brew!
